INTRODUCTION

What is a collaborative (or private) weather network?

At Sencrop, a collaborative (or private) weather network refers to a grouping of weather stations in a specific area, to which only invited members have access. Often the initiative of an agricultural group such as Co-operatives, farming groups, crop production businesses or traders, it allows each user to access local precision weather data in a collaborative way.

Unite your staff around an innovative service

By creating a network, you can unite a community of farmers around their local weather data, making it easier for them to make decisions and organise their day-to-day work.

An innovative service: add an essential and innovative agro-meteorological service to your catalogue.
A collaborative solution: each member has access to the weather data for their area, for easier exchanges and improved collaboration.
An intuitive application: Sencrop is described as intuitive and easy to use on a daily basis. It helps to digitalise farming practices.

Collaboration between agronomist and members for personalised advice

The agronomists have access to all the weather data collected by the network stations. As a result, they can provide their farmers with personalised advice tailored to their needs:

Risk visualisation: easily track all your farmers' plot risks: irrigation, disease, frost, etc.
Personalised information transmission: alert your farmers in the event of risks by sending contextualised messages. Improve the quality and effectiveness of advice.
Connection with your DSTs: connect station data to your preferred Decision Support Tools, for centralised monitoring.

THEY CREATED THEIR OWN NETWORK OF STATIONS

We wanted to create added value thanks to a grid of weather stations,

so that everyone could have access to reliable, collaborative weather data. All technicians are equipped to monitor data within their own area and can connect with the farmers.

THEY CREATED THEIR OWN NETWORK OF STATIONS

The request for a network came from some of our members who were developing an interest in smart objects and weather stations.

To start mapping out our grid, we first implemented 15 stations. We now have 50 and hope to equip every farmer in the future.
