43% grant : Sencrop is eligible for the FETF!

The English government has introduced a grant for farmers, horticulturists, forestry owners, and contractors providing services to them in March 2024. The grant is called the Farming Equipment and Technology Fund (FETF). Sencrop's soil probe, the Soilcrop, is eligible for a 43% grant (£477.60)!

Our Soilcrop soil probe qualifies for a 43% grant, excluding VAT, in the 'improve productivity' category. Eligible applicants include farmers, horticulturists, forestry owners, and contractors.

Soilcrop: 60cm soil probe that mesures soil temperature and humidity at 4 different depths (10, 20, 40 and 60 cm).

Informations regarding the FETF

The aim

The FETF provides grants for farming equipment and technology that supports improvements in productivity, slurry management and animal health and welfare.

What is the grant ceiling?

  • The RPA will pay you a grant amount of 50% or 60% towards the average cost of the item – if an item costs you the same or more than the expected average cost in the item lists.
  • If your application is successful, you’ll receive a grant of a minimum of £1,000 and a maximum of £50,000 towards productivity items.
  • If you apply for a grant of over £25,000, the RPA will ask you to send supporting information or documents appropriate to your business.

Who is eligible for the FETF grant?

Eligible persons :

  • Company based and registered in england.
  • Farmer, horiticulturalist, contractor carrying out services to farmers.
  • Is eligible to apply if you’ve received money from previous FETF grants or the Countryside Productivity Scheme (CPSG).
  • You’re not eligible for FETF if you choose to leave farming through the Lump Sum Exit Scheme.
  • Government departments, executive agencies and non-departmental public bodies (for example, the Ministry of Defence or the Forestry Commission) cannot apply for a grant.

From when, until when?

The application procedure began on the 6th of March and will close on the 17 April 2024. FETF 2024 is competitive. You may not receive any, or all of the funding you apply for.

How to submit a demand for Sencrop station from the FETF grant?

To submit your application for Sencrop soilprobe, simply follow these steps:

  • Contact us to request a quote for one or more Sencrop stations (unsigned quote).
  • Register with the Rural Payments service.
  • Register and login to the Farming Investment Fund service to submit your application by the application deadlines.
  • The serial number of the weather station(s) and the invoice must be included in the demand.
  • Successful applicants will receive a minimum of £1,000 and a maximum of £50,000 towards productivity items.
